OPEN RANK POSITION IN LITERATURE

The Literature Program of Fulbright University Vietnam invites applications for an open rank full-time position in Literature to begin August 2026. We welcome candidates from all fields of literature, with particular interest in those with comparative expertise in the Global South or ethnic studies. Secondary expertise in creative writing, race, or under-represented/marginalized communities is a plus. The Literature major at Fulbright University Vietnam is both theoretically rigorous and highly interactive and interdisciplinary.

Successful candidates will be expected to teach 5 courses per academic year including Core courses, foundational and intermediate courses in literature, upper-level courses related to their area of specialization, as well as advising undergraduate student research projects and capstone experiences. Successful candidates should have demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research, as well as a desire to work with and develop undergraduate students.

Fulbright Vietnam seeks scholars and educators who care deeply about developing students as engaged learners and citizens, working in a transdisciplinary environment, and participating in a start-up university environment.

Qualifications

Candidates are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Literature or Comparative Literature by the time of appointment.
