Utilize the most effective method of data collection and coding. Check validity and accuracy of data ensuring compliance with quality control requirements.

Compile and analyze data for research programs. Coordinate and maintains data reports and database files on progress of programs, studies, and/or projects. Receives, inventories, enters, and organizes collected data.

Prepare and present reports for presentation or submittal to sponsoring agent, Principal Investigators, and staff.

Perform searches to generate standard and customized reports using statistical applications such as SPSS, SAS, R, STATA, and Excel. Summarize results of searches.

Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and proposals by providing and presenting statistical information as tables, charts, or graphs.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Research Data Analyst:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Social Science, Public Policy, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Sciences, or field of study related to the research.
Experience: Prior experience with SAS, STATA, SPSS, and/or Excel is preferred.
Other : Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.

Research Data Analyst Senior:

Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Social Science, Public Policy, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Science or Services or in a field of study related to the research
Experience : Two (2) years related experience in a research environment required. Experience in SAS, STATA, SPSS, and/or Excel preferred
Other : Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in biostatistics, applied mathematics, computer science, data science, or a related field. Experience with causal inference, REDCap, and large administrative, healthcare, or survey datasets. Proficiency in R and Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization. Experience developing Shiny applications and a strong understanding of web design principles. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
