A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic sport-minded professional to join our team as an Operational Assistant at the University of Exeter Sports Office.
This position will include working at the Sports Office’s three sites: St Lukes Sports Centre, Cornwall House Outdoor Swimming Pool and, if required, the Sports Park (Streatham Campus), providing cover for the Duty Manager during periods of annual leave and sickness, as required. Therefore an NPLQ, Pool Plant Operators Certificate and a First Aid at Work qualification are essential for this role, and training will be supported once contracted if these are not already held.
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for the efficient, safe operation of the three sites and for delivering high standards of service across all facilities. This will include lifeguarding, delivering high levels of customer service, setting up and putting equipment, and maintaining cleanliness of all facilities.
Experience of working in a similar environment and dealing with a varied cross-section of customers is desirable along with an awareness of health and safety issues.
A proactive approach, an eye for detail and a team-minded attitude with a desire to succeed is of equal importance.
