Job Description:
The Operations Specialist will manage the day-to-day logistics and administrative processes of the Student Success Center, ensuring the smooth delivery of academic support services. This role supports scheduling, resource coordination, office administration, and systems management to enhance the effectiveness of growing program operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operational tasks including scheduling, resource management, space coordination, and internal communications.
- Manage and streamline administrative procedures related to hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of tutors and student employees.
- Maintain office systems such as supply ordering, inventory management, timesheet collection, and facility requests.
- Serve as a liaison between the Student Success Center and other campus units (e.g., IT, Facilities, HR) to address operational needs.
- Assist with the coordination of events, workshops, and training sessions by ensuring logistics are executed efficiently.
- Support the implementation of process improvements that promote operational excellence and service scalability.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two years of experience in administrative operations, logistics coordination, or office management, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry systems, and scheduling platforms (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Starfish).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in student services or academic support programs.
- Familiarity with grant-supported programming or federal compliance processes.
