About the program
PhD students in Oral Biology at the University of Manitoba are driven to explore emerging curiosities about the complex interplay between oral health, genetics, and systemic well-being in a nurturing, collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment led by an outstanding cadre of passionate professors committed to the success and development of their trainees as future scientists in academic and industrial settings.

General requirements
- To be considered for admission, you must have a minimum of a Master of Science degree. Students of exceptional or proven ability holding an appropriate professional degree or a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree may be admitted.
Applications must be completed online and include several parts:

- Two letters of recommendation (must be requested from within the application)
- Statement of intent indicating your scientific background and research interests (one paragraph)
- The name of a faculty member who has agreed to supervise your research program (refer to the Department of Oral Biology for a list of potential advisors and contact information)
- Proof of English language proficiency, if required
