The mission of SOM is to educate leaders for business and society. Faculty in the organizational behavior group embody this calling in their scholarship, teaching, and service.
Qualifications
All positions require a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Organizational Behavior or a field that is broadly related, including psychology, sociology, management, public health, education, and the many related disciplines that inform how groups organize, function, and are managed. Individuals who are currently ABD must be awarded their degree before December 31, 2027. The selected candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research in their area of study and teach and advise students in SOM’s PhD, master’s, and executive education programs.

Appointment terms
Positions are full-time and tenure-track and will be located at the Yale School of Management in New Haven, Connecticut. Appointments will be made for the 2027-28 academic year, beginning July 1, 2027. Individuals with little to no prior work experience in a full-time faculty position will be considered at the Assistant Professor rank, but more experienced applicants who have held a full-time ladder-track faculty role for a few years may be eligible for hire as Associate Professor (tenure-track) provided they meet the University’s qualifications for that rank. Full Professor (with tenure) requires a minimum of five years of prior experience as a full-time ladder-track faculty member.
