OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as an Ornamental Horticulture Coordinator. The incumbent under the direction of an assigned administrator, organize, coordinate and oversee the day-today operations and supervision of the Ornamental Horticulture Department; including facilitation of department accounts, budgets and purchasing; maintenance of department equipment and supplies for the ornamental horticulture programs and facilities including a storeroom, retail store, greenhouse, shade house and other growing areas; coordinate and organize large-scale department events and activities; oversee and participate in the plant care activities; assist in the overall promotion of the ornamental horticulture program and serve as liaison between the Nursery, vendors, the College and the community. $34.57 - $42.02 Hourly
$71,901 - $87,394 Annually (based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($34.57 per hour) or B ($36.30 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Two years college-level coursework or the equivalent with specialized training in ornamental horticulture or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Increasingly responsible experience in ornamental horticulture.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California driver's license and ability to qualify for district vehicle insurance coverage.
Valid California State Pesticide Regulation Qualified Applicator's Certificate, Category B (landscape maintenance).
