Washington University School of Medicine and the Department of Otolaryngology consistently rank in the top 5 nationwide for extramural funding. The Department of Otolaryngology currently comprises a large group of >50 clinical and research faculty, the Program for Audiology and Communication Sciences, and a top tier otolaryngology residency with an R25 institutional grant supporting protected research time for four residents per year. The applicant will have opportunities to participate in graduate medical education, to mentor AuD, PhD and MD students and otolaryngology residents, and to provide research experience for students at all levels in collaboration with both clinical and pre-clinical researchers of the Department, School of Medicine, and University.
