"Outreach Librarian"

UQ Library is seeking a proactive Outreach Librarian for a full-time continuing position with salary in the range $102,565.37 - $111,686.39 (HEW 7), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

This role involves leading a proactive, strategic outreach supporting the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology (EAIT), acting as the link between academic staff and Library services. It is based at the St Lucia campus.

About This Opportunity: Lead strategic engagement to enhance scholarly and research activities, including proactive outreach for teaching and learning, partnering with academic staff, and developing digital literacy programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic Engagement and Partnerships: Engage with academic staff to understand research and teaching needs, identify opportunities, and develop partnerships.
• Service Development and Promotion: Promote Library services, initiate new services, and manage collections to support teaching, learning, and research.
• Information Literacy and Expertise: Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate information and digital literacy programs, with knowledge of scholarly publishing and research metrics.
• Team Leadership and Improvement: Supervise staff, coordinate activities, and contribute to service planning and management.

About You: Hold relevant qualifications for ALIA membership, with experience in academic libraries, knowledge of information resources, and skills in interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia.
