Purpose
Under general supervision, the Outreach, Recruitment, and Admissions Coordinator performs professional student services work in support of the department's educational programs, including recruitment, community outreach, and coordinating admissions processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Advises potential applicants on the application process and provides support to prospective students.
- Reviews application files for admissions eligibility and collaborates with faculty and partners.
- Monitors student progress from application to graduation, maintaining confidentiality.
- Develops marketing materials and maintains databases and websites.
- Develops recruitment plans and prepares reports.
- Coordinates outreach activities and represents the department at conferences.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of principles of individual and group behavior, program management, and research techniques. Ability to interpret rules, advise students, and maintain cooperative relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college in a related field, plus two years of professional experience. A master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in academic advising, recruitment, working with diverse populations, and technical fluency in relevant software.
