Base Salary $112,628 - $122,702 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation

Join the Poche Centre as a Senior Research Translation Officer, where your work will directly transform research into practical outcomes that influence policy and practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing. You will collaborate with a dynamic research team including academic researchers and professional staff, as well as key stakeholders, to co-design educational resources, develop knowledge translation strategies, and build meaningful relationships that amplify the impact of our research. This role offers the chance to make a real difference by bridging the gap between research evidence and real-world change in a supportive and innovative environment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Translate research and research outputs into high-quality written, online, and multimedia resources that influence policy and practice in social and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the research team and project partners to co-design health-related educational resources, stories, and videos that meet stakeholder needs.
• Develop and implement knowledge translation plans to effectively communicate research findings to key audiences.
• Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to support research translation and ensure content aligns with requirements.
• Provide project management for research translation programs, including planning, tracking, implementation, and reporting to ensure objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Undertake ad-hoc projects and activities relevant to the role as approved by the chief investigator.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Demonstrated experience in translating complex research into engaging educational resources and tools that influence policy and practice.
• Demonstrated experience in building respectful working relationships and networks with key stakeholders, and advocating on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, with knowledge of ethical guidelines and principles for undertaking research with communities.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and exercise discretion in sensitive matters.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising initiative and sound judgement to manage competing priorities.
