Part-Time Adjunct Instructor
Description
Applications for Part-Time, Adjunct Instructor pools are continually accepted (unless otherwise specified) by the District. They will be added to the application pool for review by hiring authorities on an as-needed basis. Should you be invited for an interview, you will be contacted by a District representative.
Southwestern College is looking to hire a part-time instructor to teach a variety of Art courses including:
ART 103 – Design II
Introduces the study of elements and principles of three-dimensional design, its functional application in art and society, the history of design, and the philosophies that influence the use of the three-dimensional space. Emphasizes the analysis of human perception, aesthetics theory, and critical judgment through the development of volumetric forms.
Class modalities include face-to-face, online, hybrid, and remote. Classes may be held during weekdays, and/or evenings at any of the campus sites (Chula Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, and/or San Ysidro) including local high schools and/or Donovan Prison.
Qualifications
Masters degree in fine arts, art or art history
OR
Bachelors in any of the above AND Masters in humanities
OR
the equivalent.
