platforms, including Blackboard, Self Service, and BaronOne. Providing students with resources to assist with college skills including time management, study skills, and other college success skills. Presentations to classes about college skills, academic advising, and college resources. Provides triage services for in-person or virtual advising queues. Assists with administrative tasks, including advising email, phones, and reporting. Maintain standards of confidentiality and privacy in accordance with the College, FERPA, student records, and any other protected documentation. Assists Academic Advising staff with student-centered activities. Other duties as assigned. OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community. Education Required: Bachelor's Degree required, preferred in psychology, social work, education or related field Experience Required: Minimum of at least one year of experience working in a higher education setting. Experience Preferred : Knowledge of academic advising principles within an open-admissions environment. Experience working with community college students or first year students. Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements: Experience using technology for organization, communication, assessment, and program development. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic and student service team members. Strong verbal, presentation, writing, and listening skills Understanding and knowledge of student and institutional resources
