Part-Time AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES Instructor
Georgia State University is seeking part-time instructors in African-American Studies. The position is within the Social Sciences Department at Perimeter College, offering courses in fields such as History, Political Science, African-American Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Education, Social Work, Gerontology, Anthropology, Homeland Security & Emergency Management, and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies.
Required Education: A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to teach African-American Studies courses at the collegiate level, use various teaching methods, relate to a diverse student population, and demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of instructional technology.
Salary: $3075.00 for each 3-semester credit hour course taught. Classes are offered mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Work Hours: Classes at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon, and evening including weekends.
