Position Description
Perimeter College is seeking part-time visual art instructors for the spring 2026 semester. The college is currently seeking instructors in two categories:
- Instructors who have the credentials to teach foundations studio art courses (Introductory Studio, Drawing, 2D and 3D Design) at the college level. This is for studio art to be offered in the evenings on the Clarkston and Dunwoody campuses.
- Instructors who have the credentials to teach art history courses at the college level. This is for art history courses to be offered at the Alpharetta, Dunwoody, and Newton campuses.
Required Education
For studio art, a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in a studio art discipline.
For art history, a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in art history.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to teach Studio Art or Art History at the collegiate level.
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.
- Effective communication skills needed.
- Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology is required.
Work Hours
Position may require non-standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations).
Salary
$3075.00 for each 3-semester credit hour course taught
