Job Description

The Part-Time Athletic Trainer at Lincoln Memorial University plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of student-athletes. The primary responsibilities include providing medical coverage during athletic events, maintaining open and effective communication with coaches, athletic training staff, and team physicians, as well as overseeing the daily maintenance of facilities. The incumbent will work closely with the Head Athletic Trainer and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Entry Level Masters Degree in Athletic Training; NATABOC certified; licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee; current CPR/AED certification; valid drivers license;

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Athletic Training or related field; 1-3 years of experience working with contact sports, preferably in a collegiate setting.

Job Duties

  • promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
  • promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students;
  • participate on university committees;
  • primary duties include: provide medical coverage for athletic events; excellent communication with sport coaches, athletic training staff, and team physicians; daily maintenance of facilities;
  • perform other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer;
  • complete required institutional and program accreditation reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the university.

Work Schedule: Preferred availability for evenings, nights, and weekends, including events such as JFWA, tennis tournaments, and wrestling practices; the position will require no more than 20 hours per week.
