Part-Time Cashier, Henry B. Plant Museum
Position Details
The Henry B. Plant Museum at The University of Tampa has positions available for a Part Time Cashier to process cash and credit card payments for the purchase of Museum admission and for visitor purchases in the Museum Store. This position reports to the Museum Director.
Responsibilities
- Process cash and credit card payments.
- Provide friendly, welcoming customer service.
- Encourage visitors to join as Museum Members.
- Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cash handling experience to include cash register and credit card processing experience.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Ability to provide solutions as needed to address any problems/issues.
- Patient and friendly attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
Pay rate: $17.00 per hour.
Work Schedule
Part-time position not to exceed 29 hours per week/1000 hours per year. Shifts are 4-5 hours. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday 10 am - 5 pm and Sunday noon - 5 pm. At least one weekend shift is required.
