Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The PT Coordinator will be responsible for directing campus and community Outreach to enhance awareness of academic, workforce, and support services at respective LSC campus. He or She will collaborate with departments, deans and divisions to facilitate on-campus activities including but not limited to tours, open house, and college/career events. The PT Program Coordinator will build and maintain community partnerships to foster student engagement, and support frequent school partnership events within the service area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain an attendance database to ensure compliance with LSC's policies and procedures
- Manage correspondences which include email, voicemail, etc.
- Maintain compliance reports related to the New Student Orientation Program
- Coordinate and direct large-scale events such as Open House, Senior Connections, etc. with attendance of over 300 attendees. Coordinate College Day Visits and Career Fairs for prospective students
- Manage event/meeting planning, securing venues, catering, and materials preparation
- Assist in developing Marketing tools and materials for student recruitment
- Actively maintain up-to-date knowledge of Orientation and assist with the Student Orientation Program in respective campus
- Assign online orientation sessions, and release orientation holds in accordance with system approved compliance procedures
- Register students for New Student Orientation sessions and for classes
- Create and provide initial and ongoing training of student workers and part time staff for tours and college representation
- Develop and present higher education informational sessions for parents of students at local schools
- Maintain and strengthen outreach collaboration with academic departments and faculty. Represent Outreach and Recruitment at campus and system-wide committees
- Oversee community outreach events. Manage group tours for local area high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools on campus
- Assist in implementing strategic recruiting efforts based on department goals
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Orientation & Outreach websites
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications
- Ability to prepare and analyze reports

- Ability to prioritize duties
- High level of customer service
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
