Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Under general supervision, the PT Coordinator I, Recreational Sports is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Fitness Training Center and Sport Club Programs. This role involves coordinating support functions, including scheduling, communications, supply management, information processing, and staff assistance. The coordinator also assists in managing intramural and club sports to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with the daily operations of the Fitness Training Center
- Act as a general point of contact within the area of specialty
- Implement and promote Sports and Recreation programs
- Assist in the maintenance of all athletic supplies and fitness equipment
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of Sports and Rec events
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with questions related to the FTC and Sports programs
- Ensure safe and structured programs
- Abide by all rules in the college's Policy and Procedure manual, including safety waivers, recruitment of players, GPA, and eligibility guidelines
- Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Possess good organizational skills
- Risk management skills
- Knowledge of fitness equipment
- High level of customer service
- Knowledge of how score clocks work
- Knowledge of field lining equipment
- Ability to use Email, Excel spreadsheets, MS Office, PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of sports clubs
- Understanding of college rules and policy regulations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within the first 30 days after hire
