Part-time EMS Instructors

Position Summary
Victoria College's Allied Health Continuing Education Department is accepting applications for part-time EMS instructors.
Duties & Responsibilities
Instructors will coordinate, facilitate, monitor, and/or assist with instruction of American Heart Association ACLS, PALS, BLS, and HeartSaver courses, as well as DSHS ECA and EMT-Basic courses. Courses will be held during the day, on weekends, and/or in the evenings, and are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current EMT or paramedic (certified or licensed), issued by the Texas Department of State and Health Services.
- Minimum of two years experience as an EMT or Paramedic, or acute care provider.
- EMS Instructor certification, preferably with experience teaching EMS and AHA courses.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Must be willing to travel within the Victoria College service area and to work flexible hours as needed.
- Strong communication/presentation and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy.
Preferred:
- Associate Degree in EMS or health related field.
- ACLS, PALS, and ITLS/PHTLS provider certification and/or instructor certifications.
Teaching demonstrations and/or skills tests may be required.
