About the Department: The Health Professions Department offers a broad range of academic pathways that cater to diverse interests, spanning from direct patient care to fitness and sport-centered careers. Core programs such as nursing, dental hygiene, and health sciences are complemented by specialized options including exercise science, personal training and entrepreneurship, and sport management.
Position Description: Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in Exercise Science who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.
Required Experience: None specified
Required Education: To qualify to teach Exercise Science a minimum of a Master’s degree is required in the teaching discipline or a minimum of a Master’s degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment).
Preferred Qualifications/Experience: Teaching experience is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to teach Exercise Science class at the collegiate level.
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.
- Effective communication skills needed.
- Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology is required.
