Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Aviation Maintenance Technology at the Rock Creek Campus. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area.
This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full term class assignments.

Instructor Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology or other vehicle service field AND a valid FAA Mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant Ratings
- Minimum of five years experience exercising the privileges of both the Airframe and Powerplant mechanic ratings, (Five years of experience teaching at the college level or in an aviation maintenance training department or a combination of experience may be substituted, year for year, for aviation mechanic experience.)
Part-time Instructors: An AMT Instructor presenting a certificate with a single rating will be limited to teaching only the subject material related to that rating. The above AMT Instructor education and experience requirements still apply appropriately to the single rating.
