Department Information
The Department of Clinical Sciences houses programs including BS and MS Communication Sciences and Disorders. It strives to develop healthcare professionals who are well-prepared to meet evolving needs.
Job Summary
The Department of Clinical Sciences is accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty to provide clinical instruction for the 2025-2026 academic year on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and group supervision in intervention and assessment at the RiteCare Center for Communication Disorders. Meet weekly with graduate clinicians, monitor sessions, review recordings, oversee documentation, and ensure compliance with standards. Work collaboratively on the faculty team. Supervision experience and familiarity with evidence-based approaches for pediatric, adult, and family are essential. Position is for one semester/minimester.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Willingness to engage with student success initiatives
- Commitment to best practices in instruction
- Current certification of clinical competence from ASHA
- Licensed or license-eligible in Georgia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Completion of necessary Continuing Education courses
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Proficiency with computers and web-based technology
- Certified in BLS as a healthcare provider
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience
- Prior supervision experience
- Prior experience teaching in Communication Sciences and Disorders programs
- Evidence of effective teaching and clinical supervision
- Evidence of commitment to supporting diverse students
- Record of approved continuing education
- Clinical expertise in relevant areas
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
