Position Summary
We are currently building a pool of qualified part-time faculty to support our academic programs. Candidates will be contacted as needed, each semester, based on student enrollment numbers and program requirements.
The Lifelong Learning Department at Anne Arundel Community College is currently building a pool of qualified part-time faculty to support our continuing education and personal enrichment programs. Candidates will be contacted as needed, each term, based on student enrollment numbers and program requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, semester-based work with the potential for ongoing, recurring opportunities.
Programming areas include but are not limited to: World Languages
Personal Enrichment, Fitness, Music and Arts
The Lifelong Learning department accepts proposals for new course content on a rolling basis; please reference this in your cover letter if you plan to propose a new course. Candidates invited for an interview will be asked to provide a brief teaching demonstration.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lesson plans and hands-on instruction to adult learners, whether on campus, off campus, or remote, in accordance with the college’s philosophy, policies, and guidelines.
- Engage in clear, professional, and timely communication with students, faculty, and staff to foster collaboration and support.
- Ensure prompt and accurate submission of grades, attendance records, reports, and other required documentation.
- Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System as needed to deliver instruction.
Required Qualifications
Education and professional experience/certifications dependent upon position.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency using computers and classroom technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience.
