Job Description

The Department of Drama Tepper Semester within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach DRA 345 Dance in New York City, a three-credit hour course, during the Spring semester, 2026. Two sections are available.

The goal for this course is to help students feel prepared and confident auditioning for any show that has movement. Students will explore different audition techniques that will help them learn choreography quickly and give other tools to prepare for a life as a professional performer. Students will focus on styles that they haven't explored in Syracuse, learning choreography from a wide variety of shows and genres, including hip hop, partnering, devised movement, Fosse, improv, rock n roll and others, as well as classical Theater Dance styles.
