Part-time Faculty, Mechanical Engineering Technology
Teach foundational and advanced Mechanical Engineering Technology courses, including topics such as vector mechanics and equilibrium, parametric solid modeling using SolidWorks, and manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, and plastics processing. Additional teaching responsibilities may include thermodynamics, covering gas properties and energy cycles; fluid mechanics, focusing on fluid statics, dynamics, and flow behavior; and fluid power systems involving hydraulic and pneumatic components and industrial applications. Candidates should be prepared to deliver clear, practical instruction that supports students' technical skill development across these subject areas.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a bachelor's in engineering or an equivalent related engineering field. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's in engineering or an equivalent related engineering field. Experience teaching at a college or university.
Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work. Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
