Part-Time Faculty - OLDR Program
Position Summary
The OLDR Program—Community Educations Older Adult Courses—at Allan Hancock College is seeking applications to develop a qualified pool of part-time faculty for in-person instructional vacancies. The assignment would be responsible for teaching balance, mobility and sensory awareness courses in person at a community offsite including short-term and long-term care facilities.
The teaching assignment will include one or more courses offered in the OLDR program.

Allan Hancock College is accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified candidates for part-time instructors for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Essential Functions and Qualifications
Provide instruction by established curriculum and course outlines.
Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
Teach all scheduled classes.
Maintain accurate records.
Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelors degree with a major related to the subject of the course taught; and either (A) or (B) below: (A) Thirty hours or two semester units of course work or class work in understanding the needs of the older adult, taken at an accredited institution of higher education or approved by the district. This requirement may be completed concurrently during the first year of employment as a noncredit instructor. (B) One year of professional experience working with older adults.
OR
An associate degree with a major related to the subject of the course taught; and two years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught; and sixty hours or four semester units of coursework or classwork in understanding the needs of the older adult, taken at an accredited institution of higher education or approved by the district. This last requirement may be completed concurrently during the first year of employment as a noncredit instructor.

SALARY:
- Lecture Rate: $56.46 to $86.44 per hour depending upon education and experience
- Lab Rate: $49.17 to $75.26 per hour depending upon education and experience
- Activity Rate: $36.33 to $56.69 per hour depending upon education and experience
