Basic Functions

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time faculty (up to 67%) or temporary substitute assignments on an as needed basis.

We accept applications on a continual basis.

Departments or Divisions will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill in temporary assignments.

Applicants will remain in the pool for 12 months.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS in accordance with Title 5, Section 53412, Minimum Qualifications for Instructors of Noncredit Courses:

Any bachelor's degree or higher and two (2) years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience, or equivalency AND one or more of the following:

• Licensed physician and surgeon; OR
• Licensed physician assistant; OR
• Registered nurse; OR
• Person licensed under Chapter 3 of the Business and Professions Code; OR
• Respiratory care practitioner with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the previous five (5) years; OR
• Certified phlebotomy technician with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the previous five (5) years; OR

Must have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
