Part-time Faculty, Physical Therapy
Teach the Clinical Decision Making course to the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy students. Responsibilities include coordinating, teaching, and assessing student performance in the assigned courses based on content expertise. Contributing to department curriculum meetings regarding the content area. This amount off credits available are flexible based on the course needs. The class schedule is negotiable.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Physical therapy license with eligibility for Ohio licensure.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least a DPT or master's degree prepared clinician with clinical specialization or an academic terminal degree (Ph.D., EdD, DSc). At least three years of clinical experience. Physical therapy license with eligibility for Ohio licensure. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Academic teaching experience.
Physical Requirements:
In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
