"Part-time Faculty, Sports Communication"

The Sports Communication BA degree program in the College of Communication at DePaul University invites expressions of interest for part-time faculty teaching opportunities for undergraduate sports media/sports journalism classes. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview for availability for Winter Quarter 2026 and/or Spring Quarter 2026.

Opportunities are usually Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 2 times per week for the 10-week quarter for two 90-minute sessions usually meeting 10:10-11:40 a.m., 11:50-1:20, or 1:30-3 p.m. in the Loop. (Winter Quarter is January-March, Spring Quarter is March-June.)

Qualifications: Master's degree or bachelor's degree plus significant experience (5 years) in sports media desired. The candidate must have demonstrated professional experience and success in the sports industry, plus experience mentoring young journalists or media workers on project work based with constructive feedback. Commitment to professional development and helping develop students as media professionals requested. Classroom teaching experience highly desired.
