Job Description
The Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment is pleased to announce an opening for a Family Navigator. The Family Navigator position will support families in their process to access Thompson Center services, helping caregivers navigate the journey from referral through scheduling. The Thompson Center is a multi-disciplinary center with 15 different clinical subspecialists and is integrated fully with the academic training and research missions of MU. The Center is growing and currently planning for a new, state-of-the-art facility and additional clinical programming.
Job Duties Include:
- Schedule patients for diagnostic appointments.
- Support newly referred families by contacting for intake and sending appropriate forms.
- Monitor dashboards for completed paperwork to ensure patients are added to the waitlist.
- Manage waitlist needs such as phone calls and complex situations, consulting with center leadership as needed.
- Be the point of contact for families who are waiting to be scheduled and guide them through the process from beginning to end.
- Communicate effectively with families to provide support and resources.
- Contact referring providers.
- Update or develop new processes as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift
20 hours per week Monday – Friday
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Certifications as required by state/federal law or regulatory agencies is necessary.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $20 - $22 hourly Grade: GGS - 007 University Title: Healthcare Programs Specialist Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
