About the Department

The Department of Fine Arts at Perimeter College, home to the disciplines of art, music, theatre, and film, delivers a top-tier education and exceptional access to hands-on experiences. In addition to extensive course offerings, the department offers professional, student and community exhibitions, along with guest lectures and musical and theatrical performances. Graduates from our department have gone on to successful careers in the arts, in education, in law and in business. Our cadre of highly accomplished faculty not only prepare students for proficiency in their prospective fields, but also to be effective and engaged citizens who think critically.

Position Description

Perimeter College is seeking instructors to teach film analysis and history courses in spring semester 2026, in particular at the Dunwoody and Newton campuses.

Required Education

Applicants MUST have: A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in film history, theory, and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Teaching experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to teach Film History and Analysis at the collegiate level.
  • Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.
  • Effective communication skills needed.
  • Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology is required.
