Job Summary
- Collaborates with the Director of Graduate Programs to develop, organize and implement graduate student support needs and initiatives in the SoE.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Master's degree in a related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
5 years in education, student affairs, teaching, academic advising, social work, or related field
Preferred
Experience in a student-focused, higher education environment is highly desired
SKILLS
Required
Proficient communication skills
Maintains a high degree of professionalism
Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills
Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty

Ability to meet Best Practices and National Standards for Academic Advising
Understands and meets Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements
Preferred
Clear understanding of student academic programs
Knowledge of current state licensing requirements
Ability to manage highly confidential records and information
Knowledge of university systems and scheduling system
