Xavier University is seeking applications for a Part-Time Groundskeeper. This a temporary position working less than 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

With appropriate personal protective equipment, the Part-Time Groundskeeper will operate hand and power tools to cut, trim, edge grass, turf, prunes trees and shrubs, trim hedges, mulches, pulls weeds, and applies chemicals.
Maintain athletic fields by dragging, laying out, lining and painting.
Keep university grounds clean (e.g., pick up papers and other debris; operates a variety of equipment to clean sidewalks, steps, patios, and parking lots when necessary).
Lifts or moves heavy equipment or material unassisted up to 125 pounds.
Follow all established safety procedures.
Work outside in all-weather condition; work with potentially dangerous equipment and chemicals; exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and elements.

Qualifications:

Possession of a valid driver’s license and driving record deemed insurable under the Vehicle Use and Driver Information
Proficient in operating hand and power tools.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
