for a part-time instructor position, no minimum course load is guaranteed and teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, minimum student enrollment and/or department need. No reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided to local or out of area/out of state candidates and there is no guarantee of continued or future part-time and/or full-time employment.

Core Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Teaching includes, but is not limited to, the following: Teaching assignments. Classes run 4-8 weeks, 1-2 days a week, 2 hours to 3 hours each class at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Classes are typically held during evening hours; however, Saturday classes are available during morning hours.

Duties may include, but not be limited to, any of the following:

Meeting and assisting students outside of class time.
Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
Student-centered / listening / verbal communication / organizational skills.
Familiarity with adult education administration and student services.
Possess organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
This position requires instructors to maintain a sign-in sheet, record attendance and maintain a pass/fail grade report for students per class.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and experience teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
