Job Description
Nevada State actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Nevada State University invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person/hybrid or online courses in Counseling.
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,000 per credit hour. Courses are 3 credits.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely-related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience.
- If applying to teach online asynchronous courses, evidence of engaging content delivery that goes beyond reading textbook chapters (e.g., recorded lectures or videos; application assignments).
