Job Summary
The College of Coastal Georgia Department of Natural Sciences seeks qualified applicants for the part time applicant pool for Part Time Instructor of Environmental Science. This is an applicant pool for teaching in the School of Arts & Sciences starting August 1, 2025. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach Environmental Science and/or Geology courses (lecture and/or laboratory) contingent to their expertise and the needs of the College. Essential duties include: maintaining office hours, preparing lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, completing required trainings, teaching at the Brunswick campus or Camden Center either face-to-face, hybrid, or online, and timely submission of final grades and attendance reports.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Environmental or Earth Sciences
Required Experience
- Successful teaching experience
- Evidence of professional development
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level
