Part Time Instructor of Phlebotomy Mountain Campus
Job Summary
The School of Health Professional at Dalton State College invites applicants for a part-time Instructor in Phlebotomy. The position is a temporary, part-time semester by semester agreement based on need for Spring 2024 semester.
Phlebotomy instructor will assist with advanced preparation, delivery of and assessment of laboratory practicals, monitor and assist students during laboratory sessions to facilitate successful outcomes and ensure a safe environment. This position is for instruction at Dalton State's Gilmer County Campus in Ellijay, GA.

Responsibilities
- Instruct and evaluate students in classes assigned
- Assist Coordinator of Occupational Healthcare with all instructional activities within the program to include, but not limited to: Maintain suitable class records which show student class hours, academic progress, student grading system, etc.
- Development, maintenance, and evaluation of educational materials pertinent to program needs, including student learning outcomes, and assessment of courses
- Demonstrate proper techniques in regard to phlebotomy skills training to prepare students for clinical and National Board examinations
- Participate as a member of assigned institutional committees and attends scheduled meetings
- Serve as an advisor for students
- Participate in professional development training as directed
- Accept assignments as designated by the supervisor
- Demonstrate proficiency in Phlebotomy skills
- Recommend supply order to program director, as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Hold a current certification in phlebotomy, MLT or MLS from an recognized agency (ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-Boc)
- Graduate of a NAACLS Approved Program
- Earned Associate of Applied Science Degree in MLT
- Three years of recent clinical experience in clinical laboratory and phlebotomy
