Part-Time Instructor of Social Work
Job Summary
Dalton State College School of Health Professions seeks part-time instructors for Social Work. The position is temporary, part-time and a semester-by-semester agreement will be based on need. Must have a master's degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program and a minimum of three year's practice experience. LMSW or LCSW licensure preferred, not required Teaching experience in a higher education setting strongly desired or work as a social work field instructor. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
The Dalton State Social Work program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. This position should be a clinician able to teach across the BSW curriculum and specifically generalist micro practice courses.

Responsibilities
Major Duties
- Teach undergraduate social work courses primarily micro- practice courses.
The teaching load is typically one course (3 or 4 credit hours). Candidate must be willing to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery. Courses are taught on-campus; this is not an online teaching position. Assessment of student competency is also part of the position responsibilities (for both SACS and CSWE).

Educational Requirements
- Applicants must hold a master's in social work from a CSWE accredited program.
- Three years of post-MSW practice experience as a generalist social worker primarily at the micro-level.
- An understanding of and ability to teach and uphold the National Association of Social Workers ethical standards and the Council on Social Work Education Professional Competencies.
