Job Description Summary
This position supports the research activities within Dr. Yijing Su's laboratory, focusing on the basic laboratory techniques and data analysis. The role involves assisting with performing routine medical laboratory tests, assisting supervisor with experiments, and contributing to ongoing research projects. Ideal candidates will possess a keen interest in scientific inquiry and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment. The estimated work time will be 15-20 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintaining laboratory supplies (5%).
- Data entry and maintenance of lab records (10%).
- Quality control of reagents and samples (5%).
- Collaborating with team members and assisting on projects (25%).
- Training in safety protocols and lab processes (5%).
- Performing basic statistical analysis on experimental data (10%).
- Sample preparation and extraction (10%).
- Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment (5%).
- Running gel electrophoresis & analysis, preparing standard volumetric solutions (5%).
- Provide and maintain expertise in innovative solutions focused on the responsible stewardship of Penn Dental Medicine and its community experience (10%)

Qualifications
- High School Grad/GE Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
