About the Opportunity

The Department of Public Health and Health Sciences in the Bouve College of Health Sciences of Northeastern University is urgently hiring in-person part-time lecturers for the Fall 26 term on the Boston campus.

The Department's mission is to promote the health and well-being of diverse individuals, communities, and populations through health care innovations and interdisciplinary collaborative initiatives across all scientific fields, engineering, and the humanities.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing syllabi, lectures, course materials, all examinations including a final exam, and evaluations of student performance in the course
Developing and implementing materials for lectures for in-person or online/hybrid courses
Working under the direction of the Lead Faculty
Holding office hours as appropriate
Engaging productively with teaching assistants
Collaborating on course revisions and improvements with department faculty and the University's Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning through Research (CATLR)

Fall Term:

Full Semester Classes: 9/9/2026 - 12/20/2026
Grades Due: 12/22/2026 by 2:00PM EST

Courses Available:

PHTH 2515. Healthcare Policy and Administration.
Tuesday and Friday 1:35pm-3:15pm IN-PERSON ONLY

PHTH 4202. Principles of Epidemiology in Medicine and Public Health.
Tuesday and Friday 9:50am-11:30am IN-PERSON ONLY

Qualifications:

Applicants should have at least a Masters in an appropriate field. Doctoral degrees and teaching experience are preferred.
