"Part-Time Lecturer, Graduate Cooperative Education Program, College of Science"

The College of Science at Northeastern University is seeking part-time lecturers to teach the graduate course EESC-6500 Pathways to Professional Success for Fall 2025, either online or on-ground in Boston, MA. This course focuses on preparing students for cooperative education and career development.

Course Overview: The course helps students build professional skills such as self-assessment, career exploration, networking, job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, workplace communication, and collaboration. It covers analyzing industry trends, researching career paths, adapting to workplace cultures, demonstrating professionalism, ethical decision-making, and time management. Students will be equipped for cooperative education and post-graduate employment.

The course is for the Cooperative Education division of the College of Science, targeting graduate students. Topics include self-assessment, resume writing, networking, job analysis, research, interviewing, and ethical decision-making.

This is an 11-14 week course starting in September 2025, taught on-ground on Mondays or Fridays from 6:00pm-7:40pm Eastern time in Boston, MA, or fully asynchronous online.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required.
• Experience in experiential learning, career services, human resources, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years teaching experience preferred; online teaching experience desirable.
• Familiarity with LMS systems like Canvas preferred.
• Industry experience in Life Sciences is a plus.
• Strong organization, communication skills, and attention to detail required.
• Ability to meet virtually once per month required.
