Part-Time Lecturer, Graduate Cooperative Education Program, College of Science

The College of Science at Northeastern University is seeking part-time lecturers to teach the graduate course EESC-6500 Pathways to Professional Success for Fall 2025, either online or on-ground at the Boston, MA campus. This course focuses on cooperative education and career development, preparing graduate students for internships, co-op experiences, and future careers.

About the Course: The EESC-6500 Pathways to Professional Success course helps students develop professional competencies such as self-assessment, career exploration, networking, job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, workplace communication, and collaboration. Students learn to analyze industry trends, research career paths, adapt to workplace cultures, demonstrate professionalism, ethical decision-making, and time management. By the end, students are equipped for cooperative education and post-graduate employment.

Course instruction is for the Cooperative Education division of the College of Science, teaching graduate-level students. Content includes self-assessment, resume writing, networking, job analysis, research, interviewing, and ethical decision-making.

This is an 11-14 week course starting in September 2025, taught primarily on-ground on the Boston, MA campus or online.

On-ground times: Classes are in person on Mondays or Fridays from 6:00pm-7:40pm Eastern time on the Boston, MA campus.

Online courses: Classes are completely asynchronous with online engagement; no live instruction.

Positions are available contingent upon enrollment, funding, and departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required.
• Work in experiential learning, career services, human resources, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years teaching experience preferred; online teaching experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with LMS systems such as Canvas preferred but not required.
• Applicants with industry experience in Life Sciences are a plus.
• Strong organization and communication skills, and attention to detail are required.
• Ability to meet virtually once per month required.

Pay Range: The rate per credit is $2,932 - $2,958.
