- Participate in quality assurance programs for health
services.
- Present health and wellness programs as a part of outreach to
the campus community, which includes student orientations.
- Participate in University meetings, projects, and committees as
assigned.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff.
Specifically, willingness and ability to function as an integral
team member within the department (Counseling, Health, Testing,
& Disability Services) and the Student Affairs Division.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement in medical practice
and consult when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's
program or its equivalent required.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri is
required.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- An interest in working with a college population.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Strong commitment to professional ethics .
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Previous experience working in a higher education setting
- Familiarity with using an Electronic Medical Record
System.
- Two or more years’ experience as an Advanced Practice
Nurse
- Experience working with a late teen and adult population.¿
- Experience with IUD and Nexplanon insertion.
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established
as up to $56.00 per hour
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not
limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education,
skills, and experience, as well as organizational
requirements.
