Job Summary
The Swim Instructor delivers swim lessons in a safe, structured, and encouraging environment, promoting water safety and skill development for participants of all ability levels within Campus Recreation.
Responsibilities
- Provide group and/or private swim instruction to participants of varying ages and skill levels.
- Ensure participant safety by enforcing pool policies and following established risk management procedures.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons that support skill development and water safety.
- Maintain accurate attendance and participant progress records.
- Communicate professionally with participants, parents (if applicable), and supervisors.
- Assist with aquatic facility setup, organization, and cleanliness.
- Maintain required certifications and attend mandatory trainings.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies in accordance with established protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Basic swim proficiency and knowledge of water safety principles;
- Ability to effectively instruct and communicate with individuals and groups;
- Ability to enforce policies and respond appropriately in emergency situations;
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.
Preferred prior experience.
Proposed Salary
$15/hr
