Part-Time Professional Tutor
Location: Lynn/Danvers, MA
Campus Location: Lynn & Danvers
Work Schedule: Up to 15 hours a week
SALARY: $36.55/hr., non-benefited, MCCC unit position

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Conduct individual and, on occasion, small-group tutoring sessions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Tutor students in area(s) of expertise and other subjects as assigned.
- Encourage students to develop a systematic approach to studying that will serve them throughout their college career.
Help maintain EAB Navigate records of student attendance and learning progress.
Attend required tutor meetings throughout the semester.
Assist students in making appointments and logging in/out of center.
Assist the Tutor Coordinator in recruiting, hiring, and training peer tutors.
Perform other duties consistent with the position of Professional Tutor.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Experience tutoring and/or teaching the college level;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate qualities of patience and empathy; respect for students of all genders, gender identities, cultural/ethnic backgrounds, ages, and abilities.
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Community College tutoring or teaching experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) tutoring ability.
