Part-time Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Sports & Arthroscopic Surgery of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532706)

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for supporting various research projects conducted by the Sports Division, including organizing data, managing research materials, conducting literature searches, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, with 3 years’ relevant experience in a scientific-related field, such as biology or biomedical science
  • Prior research experience in a related field
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of basic research methodologies and statistical analysis tools
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse team of researchers and other stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
