Part Time Research Support Specialist -Short Term Hire
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience with research activities. Experience in operating equipment, carrying out test procedures, and using special methods for data collation and interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in computer sciences.
Brief Description of Duties:
Within defined test or analytical protocols, operate equipment, carry out test procedures, as well as collate and interpret data using special methods in support of a research project or program for Dr. Damaghi in the Department of Pathology. The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Duties:
- Collect data, record observations measurements and prepare reports for review of supervisor and or PI.
- Perform literature search; staying current in the field by reading and discussing the literature and experimental results with the supervisor and/or PI.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
This will be a part-time, short term hire through 8/31/2026.
