PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The PT Specialist IV, Office of Strategic Initiatives and Operations (OSIO) will assist Lone Star College students through the Mentoring Program. The position will also provide daily operational support for the department, guide mentors and mentees, and assist with departmental tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with daily operations and act as general point-of-contact for the Mentoring department
- Enter, track, and maintain a variety of data, documents, spreadsheets, and databases
- Work one-on-one with students identified through the Mentoring Program to assist in the matching of mentors with mentees based on compatibility, needs, and program goals
- Promote the Mentoring Program by organizing informational/training sessions and assisting in developing strategies for students and employees
- Actively collaborate with departments, student organizations, and community to expand the mentoring program
- Assist with research, analysis and evaluation of program, creation of reports and presentation of findings and suggestions for program improvements
- Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
