Part-Time STEM Lab Assistant
Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Part-Time STEM Lab Assistant. This position Provides lab support for STEM faculty, staff, and students with a primary focus on equipment and supply ordering, inventory, and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Education/Training/Work Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required with 2 years work related experience required OR
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Excellent communication, both written and oral
- Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of specific software or process
- Customer service experience
- Additional Information Required:
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to use some discretion and judgment
- Ability to work within a team-oriented setting
- Ability to adhere to safe and proper handling of laboratory materials and equipment
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand while working for extended periods of time
